IMovie

IMovie was extremely fun to learn how to use and play with! It has a lot of great features that allow you to create some really great movies or you pictures or videos. It was kind of hard to go through and edit every little scene and timing, but it is somewhat descriptive and not difficult to find the correct tools. This was probably my favorite project of the year.

This iMovie is about me and my close friends! It takes you through our first days together to some of our last... We've had a great time in college and these pictures prove it! Enjoy!

Interactive Spreadsheet!

This was a really fun activity and i felt like it was something i will use again! I like the idea of giving the kids an opportunity to correct themselves and try again! I'm not sure that many of my students in the Urban setting will have access to computers so i don't know how effective it will really be if we do not have computers in our classroom or school, but if we do i would for sure consider using this as a quiz or test method!

Inspiration!!!

I did not enjoy using this program!! It was SO complicated! It was useful for what we were doing, but it would have been ten times easier and more interactive for the students if we just called them out and drew out a diagram on the board! It was neat to learn how to use inspiration, but i think that it took up a whole lot more time and effort than was necessary.  I will probably not use this program in the future.

Voicethread Link

http://voicethread.com/share/1870242/

This is my experience with voicethread. I made a mean attempt to understand, but it was just super complicated! There are so many different things you can do with the program it is kind of hard to understand. I enjoyed learning about the program and what it could do. The fact that you can take a video and commentate it was really cool. You can also write on the scenes that you are discussing to show exactly what you are talking! It was a lot of work to get to that point though, and that was not really worth it. A pointer stick can do the same thing. It was interesting to see, but i will probably not use this program in the future.

Scavenger Hunt!

https://docs.google.com/present/edit?id=dhmb9m7s_0n6rb3rcj

Here is my presentation from the Scavenger hunt! I really enjoyed this activity and i learned a lot and had a great time taking pictures! :) I have not done much with resizing photos before and this experience allowed me to do this multiple different times. Using the google site to post these pictures was also really cool. It was not difficult to create albums and play a slideshow of them on the internet. This is a unique way to store your photos and be able to pull them up where ever you have internet access.

This would make uploading pictures to facebook take a whole lot less time!!! I really liked that you could play the slideshow right from the internet. It was simple to upload and easy to play!

Lesson Plans

This week we learned about writing objectives and worked on our lesson plans! We fixed our links on wiki and gained some more understanding about those then moved forward. I have previously learned how to write lesson plans and touched base on them 4 other times this semester! So this was a pretty repetitive lesson for me. I enjoyed going through the examples and getting the time to explore what types of lessons we want to use and what grade level we want to gear it towards.

Ryan and I used google docs to create our lesson plan and it was AWESOME! It was really neat how we could both be on at the exact same time making adjustments needed. Google docs has been so helpful to me since then even for things such as sign-ups and editing a group project. This is a feature that i plan on using again!
